Description:The Department of Sociology at Dartmouth College seeks to appoint one non-tenure-track Lecturer for the academic year 2026-2027. Applicants should be prepared to teach Introductory Sociology (SOCY 1), Social Problems (SOCY 2), Research Methods (SOCY 11), and/or Quantitative Analysis of Social Data (SOCY 10). The person in this position may also teach a course in their area of expertise from the Department's course catalog , to be negotiated with the Department Chair.
This position is full-time, non-remote, in-residence at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, from September 1, 2026-June 15, 2027. Lecturers teach six courses during the academic year, two per quarter over three ten-week quarters. This position comes with a competitive salary and benefits. The appointment will be for a one-year term.
